Cafe Jacques
This lovely corner of the Grassmarket has very long history and presumably connection with the Auld Jock of the Bobby the Greyfriars. Number 10 of Grassmarket has been trading as a traditional cafe since 1997. It has been refurbished to highlight the original character of the shop since it was built some centuries ago. In particular we have been preserving one the most traditional and very cute and traditional rest room nestling under tenement stairs since its original built.
Cafe Jacques has balanced a very unique traditional and modern atmosphere in this historical part of the Grassmarket.
We are specialising in breakfast and lunches and also offering traditional pastries, cakes and varieties of herbal teas and surely gourmet coffees as well.
Our famous Auld Jock and Wee Jock Todd breakfast are for the memory of the Auld Jock of Greyfriars Bobby who spent so much time around the Grassmarket in those old days.
We are open seven days in a week offering, great breakfast and continental lunches at affordable prices.
We are also offering variety selection of teas and coffees as well as pastries.
So please pop in to see this historic corner of the Grassmarket for completion of your Edinburgh Journey.
