ANTA is a family-run Scottish design and architecture firm, founded in the early 1980s by Annie and Lachlan Stewart. All ANTA products are made in Scotland from the finest natural materials, with colours inspired by the Scottish landscape.
As designers and architects we are best known for our modern interpretation of traditional Scottish style, and particularly for Annie's re-working of tartan in sophisticated and subtle colour ways to suit the contemporary interior.
Lachlan's architecture is strongly informed by the vernacular tradition of building, local context, and locally available materials. Our busy architect’s office deals with a variety of interesting projects throughout Scotland and further afield.
If you're a visitor to Scotland, or an ex-pat looking for something to remind you of home, we have some of the best souvenirs available. The ANTA stoneware salad bowl has become something of an icon, perhaps due to its huge popularity as a wedding present
